Ireland’s Support Group for Cuba condemned the tightening of the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba for almost six decades, diplomatic sources reported on Sunday.
During a demonstration in the capital’s Phoenix Park, near the residence of the US ambassador Edward F. Crawford, the members of the association demanded an end to the attacks by Washington and reiterated their solidarity with Cuba.
The organization also denounced the actions promoted by the Trump administration to discredit the work of the Cuban medical brigades that provide their help in the fight against the pandemic in numerous countries.
Meanwhile, the Group rejected the inclusion of Cuba in the US list with the nations that allegedly do not cooperate enough in the fight against terrorism.
Protesters criticized attempts to libel Cuba in several contexts, as well as the escalation of US hostile politics and the US blockade amid the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Group’s members also recalled the victims of the numerous terrorist acts committed by the US against Cuba throughout history.
